It boasts 2 UNESCO recognitions: since 1999, the Ferrara part of the Po Delta has become a World Heritage Site, to which the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve was added in 2015... #UNESCO #tuttitaly
While exploring the Po Delta Veneto Park, we did not miss the opportunity to visit the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary in Rosolina.
Alvise and Marcantonio Mocenigo (Venetian patricians) built the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary to encourage Sunday prayer. The works were completed on 29 October 1790. Since 1968, the oratory has belonged to the Diocese of Chioggia, which in 2014 ordered its complete restoration. Above the entrance portal, the Latin title reads:
"To God, Excellent and Maximus and the Mother of God conceived without original sin."
