Santa Lucia and Beach of the Boats - Fraction of Siniscola (NU) - Sardinia

Santa Lucia in Siniscola is a seaside village on the east coast of Sardinia, characterized by the silence along the streets and its low houses adorned with beautiful murals.

Santa Lucia is a village founded by fishermen from Ponza. As evidence of this, we see the anchored boats, the numerous kittens outside the fish restaurants, the ancient huts, and the name of the main beach, that is the Spiaggia delle Barche, a small beach of 250 m where the boats are moored, with sand medium grain cream color.

Fishermen from the island of Ponza settled here to land on the coast of Siniscola quickly, and their passage, culture, and nautical traditions have left an indelible trace.

The Aragonese also arrived in Santa Lucia, where, in 1400 built, the tower that dominates the village's waterfront. This was made to protect the coast from Saracen attacks.

In addition to the restaurants and bars facing the sea, in the center of the town square, there is a small church dating back to the Middle Ages and restored in 1878.

The village of Santa Lucia retains its charm both on a rainy day and on a sunny day and is considered by many to be a natural paradise.
