The beach is characterized by an expanse of quartz sand... #tuttitaly
We continue our exploration of Sardinia. This time we move to the province of Oristano, in the municipality of Cabras, the beach in question is that of S’Archeddu e Sa Canna, characterized by an expanse of quartz sand.
The beach has a very long sandy shore of about 900
meters, consisting of the so-called "rice grains": a carpet of gold-colored sand embellished with small translucent quartz granules of granite origin, white, light gray, black, and pink.
The bright light green sea fades into blue, with a sandy bottom for a first short stretch, then becomes rocky and immediately deep.
A curiosity about this place is that the area where the beach is located is of considerable archaeological importance; behind it is the nuraghe of S’Archeddu 'e Sa Canna, less than 200 meters away. Then moving inland, you can admire other Nuraghi.
On the S’Archeddu 'e Sa Canna beach, there are no services, and it is always uncrowded, even in high season, and this is also thanks to its length.
The sea here takes on brilliant colors never seen before, between the blue and the green that break on the quartz grains—a true poem for mind and body.
