The Strada Delle 52 Gallerie is the most evocative route I have ever traveled, being, in fact, one of the most famous routes in the Alpine Circle, unique of its kind.

You will find immense excavation so the soldiers can shelter from enemy fire.

And along the way, you will be attracted by an ever-changing and breathtaking panorama, which you can admire from an ever-new natural balcony.

My gaze ranged from ridges, pinnacles, and precipices to the other mountain ranges. Since I love to immortalize the beautiful places I discover, you will find many photos of the views of the 52 Galleries in the complete album on Google Photos.

The most extended galleries are the 19th and 20th. Both wrap themselves several times, forming an ascending spiral in the rock. But the most tortuous tunnels are 51 and 52, through which you can reach the Achille Papa refuge.

The excursion is, however, demanding due to the height difference and, for some stretches, a little exposed. And since the tunnels are not lit, I recommend you take a flashlight.

It is also necessary to be dressed appropriately and bring water and mountain equipment.
