Re Alberto Refuge - San Giovanni di Fassa (Pozza di Fassa and Vigo di Fassa - TN) - Trentino-Alto Adige - Val di Fassa

In the heart of the Catinaccio - Dolomites declared a #UNESCO Heritage Site for the uniqueness and beauty of their landscape... #tuttitaly

In 1929, in the heart of the Catinaccio, between Val di Fassa and South Tyrol, the Re Alberto 1 ° refuge was built. It was positioned in the Gartl basin, surrounded by immense rocky bastions, such as the Croda di Re Laurino, the north face of the Catinaccio, and the Vajolet Towers.

If you click on the photo above and watch my videos, you will see how amazing this place is, a real passion for mountaineers. So much so that you will see two climbers in one of my videos on the Vajolet Towers, and please tell me if it will not impress you since the height is not indifferent.

From the refuge, it seems to be able to touch the Delago, Stabeler, and Winkler towers, named after their first climber.

Looking up and admiring the ends of the legendary “King Laurin's Garden” is an indescribable sight.

Did you know that these mountains turn pink at sunset? Well yes!

According to one of the Dolomites' legends, the "basin" of the Catinaccio was the "rose garden of King Laurino." This is why in German, the Catinaccio is called "Rosengarten," meaning "Rose Garden."

The atmosphere here is unique—where you can meditate in silence. You will undoubtedly feel a sense of peace in admiring the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.

Since 1929, the Refuge has been renovated several times and has always welcomed mountaineers, hikers, and true enthusiasts worldwide. You will find a friendly environment there.

In addition to being a meeting point and a shelter, it offers "home-made cuisine," which offers specialties from the Tyrolean and Italian traditions.
