One of the most beautiful villages in Italy with its love story that has lasted for centuries...#tuttitaly
Here we are on the Romagnolo Apennines, in the Val del Conca and, more precisely, in the beautiful village of Montefiore Conca, included in the list of the most beautiful towns in Italy.
Upon arrival, you cannot help but notice its imposing fortress that overlooks the whole village.
Thanks to the findings of some Roman artifacts discovered almost everywhere, it can be said that the territory has been inhabited since ancient times. The fortress built by the Malatesta around the mid-1300s was considered one of those times' most significant and mighty fortresses.
Like any self-respecting fortress, this hides its mysteries: the secret love between Costanza Malatesta and Cavaliere Ormanno. The two lived their love story only and exclusively inside the Castle. Costanza's uncle, who never approved of this love, sent a hitman to the room where the two used to seclude. Even today, it is said that the ghosts of the two young people roam within the walls of the fortress, continuing to share their secret love for centuries.
This village owes its name to the splendid geographical position called Monte Dei Fiori.
The fortress's view is unique; from the terrace, you can enjoy a breathtaking view.
On clear sunny days, it is possible to see the coast from Fano to Ravenna. It is worth spending a peaceful day in Montefiore Conca, full of relaxation, good food, sublime aromas, and a view that will fill you with peace of body and mind.
