Moena rises in the province of Trento, on the border between the Fiemme and Fassa valleys, and is crowned by the Dolomite peaks such as Catinaccio, Sassolungo, Monzoni, and Latemar.
Moena is central to the Tre Valli ski area, equipped with modern ski lifts and slopes.
The town also boasts various cultural treasures: the church of San Vigilio, consecrated in 1164, with the Gothic bell tower and the works of the painter Valentino Rovisi; the small church of San Volfango with the precious Baroque wooden ceiling, the result of Giovanni Guadagnini.

Puzzone di Moena DOC is a fine cheese with a characteristic flavor, which has obtained the recognition of protected designation of origin.
