Is Arutas beach - Cabras (OR) - Sinis Peninsula -Sardinia

We stay in Sardinia, move to the province of Oristano, and, more precisely, to the beautiful beach of Is Arutas, considered the pearl of the Sinis peninsula.

Embraced by two rocky cliffs, there is a 'crescent' of colored quartz grains, a marvel to the touch and the eye.

A charming beach; its peculiarity is the sand, made of shimmering quartz grains, similar to rice grains.

According to the most general theory, this sand is the product of the erosion of the granite of the island of Mal di Ventre, transported downstream when the sea level was lower than the current one.

Several hundreds of meters of turquoise sea and rounded grains of excellent quartz, similar to grains of rice, are

transformed into a suggestive escalation of colors, from green to white, passing through the delicate pink.

Is Arutas is one of the jewels of the marine area of the Sinis peninsula, in the territory of Cabras, just over ten kilometers north of the town. It is a perfect beach for those who love to relax in a dream nature.

Considered one of Sardinia's most beautiful and celebrated beaches, Is Arutas is made of billions of tiny white pebbles.

A beautiful curiosity about this beach is undoubtedly the sound of the waves breaking on the shoreline made up of small pebbles. It is a piece of real continuous music, capable of reconciling wonderful naps by the sea. A dream place that you will never be able to forget and you would like to return to as soon as possible.
