Forza D'Agrò and the coast of Messina (ME) - Sicily

You can admire a fantastic panorama from this beautiful village, Forza d'Agrò.

The hairpin bends and steep streets immediately take you high above sea level, allowing you to have a genuinely crazy view of the coast, where you can admire a panorama from Messina to Syracuse.

The ancient town is about 15km from Taormina, between Messina and Catania. The Ionian Sea bathes it, reflected from the top of its 420 meters.

From this promontory, the view of the majestic Etna volcano is awe-inspiring.

On one side is the "Mongibello" with its snow-capped peak. On the other, the panoramic balcony on the Ionian with the beautiful Giardini-Naxos bay - a unique panorama worldwide.

I remember being petrified and entranced by that glimpse of Italy that I still carry indelibly in my mind today.

King Etna reigns supreme because it is monumental in that landscape, but the beauties of the coast, villages, and neighboring cities stand up to this superb enchanting landscape.

Curiosity

Francis Ford Coppola chose Forza d'Agrò as the setting for the numerous scenes in the Corleone family's film "The Godfather."

Going up to the village, you will find the restaurant "Il Padrino" with Sicilian fish specialties and a sea view.
