Erchie is the hidden paradise of the Amalfi Coast, a small village between Cetara and Maiori, which we can only access through a narrow side street along the panoramic road of the Amalfi state road.
Given the small size, to preserve the characteristics of the place, the village can only be accessed on foot; however, it is possible to leave the car in one of the paid parking lots.
Erchie is a quiet and unspoiled seaside village that has 121 inhabitants. A few white houses and the sea blue characterize this small inlet of land. The Torre la Cerniola, a symbol of the defense of the local populations against the incursions of the Saracens and pirates, dominates it.
The main beach of Erchie offers lidos equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds.
If, on the other hand, you are looking for wilder and more pristine beaches, there are two hidden behind the Tower and reachable by sea, perhaps by canoe: Spiaggia del Cauco and Spiaggia di Sovrano.
As Erchie is one of the most popular destinations for tourists and local inhabitants, during the summer months, I advise you to arrive very early to avoid the risk of finding all the parking lots whole and not being able to access the town.
