Duran Pass (BL) - La Valle Agordina - Val di Zoldo - Dolomites - UNESCO World Heritage - Veneto

The Duran Pass is an alpine pass in the Zoldo Dolomites in Veneto. It is located entirely in the province of Belluno, between the municipalities of La Valle Agordina and Zoldo Alto. The overall length of the pass is 12.5 kilometers and offers a decidedly exciting panorama. On the one hand, we find Monte San Sebastiano (2,550 meters) and Monte Moiazza (2,878 meters), and on the other, the tiny structures in the area.

At the top of Passo Duran, we find the small church in which, in August, a historic Alpini Festival is held. However, two restaurants offer typical Venetian specialties if we want to reinvigorate ourselves.

The Duran Pass (altitude 1605 m) is an Alpine Pass in the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. In addition to offering spectacular views of the UNESCO Dolomites, it is the destination of several stages of the Giro d'Italia.

In addition to the scenic attractions, it is famous for:

- the crag of Pian de Caleda, a top-rated destination for climbing enthusiasts

- the Carestiato refuges

- Cesare Tomè and San Sebastiano

- the Alta Via of the Dolomites 1

- the Ferrata Costantini

- excursions to the peaks of Monte Framont (Moiazza group).

Duran is a popular destination for motorcyclists who flock to the area in the summer.
