Position📍

Cesenatico is an ancient fishing village located between Ravenna and Rimini. The town is characterized by a soft sandy beach sloping down to the sea with its well-equipped establishments and by the hinterland with two large parks.

In the Giardini al Mare, a long green belt, you can sunbathe while walking.

Cesenatico was founded in the Middle Ages as the Port of Cesena: construction work began on 9 September 1303 and ended with construction of a castle to guard the port.

In 1502 Leonardo da Vinci designed the Porto Canale, which is still the town's pride. On 2 August 1849, Garibaldi set sail from this port with Anita and 200 followers on fishing bragozzi for besieged Venice.

In the oldest part of the Port Channel, there is the

Maritime Museum with historic boats. Not far away, the rooms of the Moretti house with everyday objects and the original writings of the great protagonist of 20th-century literature.

During the spring period, the cycle tourist events are held internationally; throughout the summer, the town is characterized by a calm and relaxed atmosphere.
