Symbol of eastern Sardinia, a natural monument of extraordinary charm, a beach of wild and uncontaminated beauty on the border between Barbagia and Ogliastra... #tuttitaly
On the border between Barbagia and Ogliastra is one of the wonders of the Gulf of Orosei, called Cala Luna.
Cala Luna is characterized by an 800 m strip of wonderful golden sand that plunges into a clear blue-toned sea,
whose seabed is appreciated by snorkeling, diving, and
underwater fishing enthusiasts.
The water feeds a small lake behind the beach, surrounded by a grove of oleanders and Mediterranean scrub.
The beach is protected by 300 m high cliffs, punctuated to
the north by five large caves, the sea as in a bottle.
Cala Luna can be easily reached by sea from Arbatax, Cala Gonone, and Santa Maria Navarrese ports.
