Crystal clear water tinged with green and blue, cliffs smoothed by time and a beach of white pebbles. Natural continuation of Cala Mariolu, separated by the spur of Punta Ispuligi, it is one of the infinite jewels of the coast of Baunei and of the Gulf of Orosei... #tuttitaly
Cala dei Gabbiani is a natural continuation of the famous Cala Mariolu. The spur of Punta Ispuligi separates the two.
Cala dei Gabbiani was chosen in 2017 by Skyscanner experts as the second most beautiful beach in Italy for its crystalline waters with green and blue hues and the lido of round, cream, white and pink pebbles, similar to sugared almonds.
The beach can be reached by sea from the tourist ports of
Cala Gonone, Arbatax, and Santa Maria Navarrese or via a demanding trekking path accompanied by guides which, starting from the Golgo plateau, crosses the Ispuligidenie forest.
The name of the beach derives from the seagulls that find refuge there at dusk and leave it free in the early hours of the day.
Behind the beach stand out bursting rocky walls dotted with Mediterranean scrub.
