Baia delle Zagare is one of the most photographed beaches in the Gargano due to its two limestone stacks sculpted by the wind. The high white cliffs, the pine trees, and the iridescent pebble beach combined with the blue of the sea create a suggestive landscape.
The name "Baia delle Zagare" derives from the flowers of the oranges and lemons found nearby.
Before going down the bay, you can take pictures of the beach from the only current vantage point, at the beginning of the path of love.
The path is accessible from the main road and connects to the nearby Vignanotica beach.
Advice:
- Try to reach the bay early in the morning, as the sun hides behind the mountains in the early afternoon;
- You can also reach the bay with boats that depart from Mattinata and Mattinatella.
