Alberobello (BA) - One of the most beautiful villages in Italy - Unesco World Heritage - Puglia

Alberobello is a genuinely unique place, out of this world, a planet of inestimable value that you will not see anywhere else on Earth.

Going around Alberobello, you will seem to be in a different world. An inimitable horizon with an expanse of dry stone Trulli, there are more than 1000, and even the town church has this particular construction.

Walking through Alberobello is very suggestive, all those trulli attached with their very particular domed roofs built in dry stone, all of the same color and many of which with a cross on the tip called "pinnacle," the decorations on the domes called "symbols," the white walls of the houses with exposed stone, the many flowers in the streets of the village. You will feel like you are in the scenography of a film. The beauty, however, is that the scenery around you is accurate.

The friendliness of the locals will also allow you to enter their unique homes and explore their interiors, climb onto the terraces, and enjoy the magnificent panorama of Trullilandia.

Think that this dry construction was designed to avoid a tax that the Kingdom of Naples must pay to every inhabitant who wanted to build a new home. But without the use of mortar, the constructions of the Trulli were unstable and therefore were not taxed. Over the years, however, these buildings have proved extraordinary, thanks to the thick walls that made them solid and well-thermally insulated and their formidable and inimitable aesthetic appearance.

Do not give up on discovering and joining the "Food Community," a project linked to this territory to make you savor the actual quality of local food and learn the original culinary flavors from the table to the cellar.

Do not leave Alberobello without visiting the Trullo del Sovrano, the only 2-story Trullo with authentic 18th-century furnishings and objects.
