Passo Valles is an Alpine Pass in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, located at 2032 m, on the border between Veneto and Trentino.
The place is the seat of tourist activities. It is also interesting because it can be the departure or arrival of excursions in the mountains, particularly in the northern sector of the Pale di San Martino.
The famous "Lovers Track" begins right on the Valles Pass, one of the most famous descents in the area that connects the summit of Col Margherita with Falcade in Val Biois through 11 km of track.
Along the Track degli Innamorati, we find the Capanna Refuge, where you can stay overnight or stop to taste the delights of the place, as we did. This refuge is located in an excellent position.
It is possible to start directly from here with snowshoes and ski mountaineering and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Park, with routes suitable for all levels.
The pass has been tackled several times by the Giro d'Italia, the first time in 1963, and deserves to be explored in winter and summer.
