The beach is a marvel of ocher sand and smooth pebbles. The seabed is low and sandy, ideal for enjoying a nice swim in peace and safety, even for children... #tuttitaly
Lo Scoglio Della Tartaruga is located in a locality of the Municipality of Loiri Porto San Paolo, near the beach of Girgolu in the northeast of Sardinia. It is, in fact, a sandy cove between modeled cliffs, which takes its name from a rock in the shape of a turtle, today without a head because, unfortunately, decapitated.
The turtle's head was beheaded in 1993, restored in 1996, and beheaded again in 1997. At that time, the rock was among the most photographed in Gallura.
The beach is one of the pretty coves along a path that can be walked between granite rocks smoothed by the wind and coves of wonderful sand.
The small coves have shallow sandy bottoms, a crystalline sea with shades of blue, and a beautiful panorama ensured by the presence of the splendid Island of Tavolara.
