Teulada is an Italian town in the province of South Sardinia and is 70 km from Cagliari-Elmas airport, the closest.

The coast alternates rocky promontories that plunge overhanging the sea to inlets with coves with white sand and crystalline waters.

The main beaches in the Teulada area are;

Malfatano, Tuerredda, Perdalonga, and Porto Zafferano Beach. The latter is located within the NATO military camp and can only be accessed by sea during specific periods of the year.

Virgin of Carmine parish church

The main parish church of Teulada is Su Crammu, better known as the Madonna del Carmelo.

The building dates back to the 17th century. Initially, there was only the transept, to which the central nave was added in 1794. We find a baptismal font, some paintings on canvas, the pulpit, and a crucifix from the 1700s.

The church overlooks the Piazza della Parrocchia, where the Madonna del Carmine, patron saint of Teulada, is celebrated every year on 16 July.

Where to eat

You can taste the typical dishes of Teulada in the various restaurants that offer fish and meat specialties: spaghetti alla bottarha, Sardinian porceddu, sa burrida, fregola, etc.
