Storo and Pieve di Bono are two towns in the Chiese Valley, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region, Italy.
Storo
Storo is famous for its mountain flour and polenta, known as the "Gold of Storo." Every October, the "Storo Polenta Festival" takes place, where you can taste different preparations of this product.
Storo has a picturesque historic center with narrow streets, small squares, and eight granite fountains dating back to the 19th century. Nearby, you can find waterfalls like the Fontana Bianca waterfall and the Cascata del Palvico.
Pieve di Bono
Pieve di Bono is one of the ancient Seven Pieve of the Chiese Valley.
Among the attractions to visit are the Santa Giustina church, dating back to the 12th century, and the chapel of the parish church with 15th-century frescoes by Giovanni Badile. There are also other curate churches in the area.
You can also find Castel Romano, built in 1253, and Forte Carriola, with its Austrian fortifications.
Excursions in the Daone Valley and Fumo Valley offer the opportunity to explore the alpine environment and admire the Adamello glacier. The valley is also known for international ice-climbing competitions in the Daone Valley.
