The Tuscany that ost is that of wheat fields, vineyards, and ancient villages; it is the Tuscany of Chianti, of good cuisine and unmistakable flavors. Its historical center is an exceptional cultural site, declared a #UNESCO Heritage... #tuttitaly
In August, we decided to tour Tuscany, and the beautiful village of San Gimignano could not be missing from our list.
This welcomes us in its fourteenth-century atmosphere. And the very high towers almost make an impression and attract our attention from afar.
Each of these has a story to tell, and with their majesty, they dominate the landscape.
San Gimignano rises in all its splendor in the magnificent Sienese hills and is surrounded by thirteenth-century walls that embrace a medieval environment, quite attractive for tourists.
This is the Tuscany we love most, with its wheat fields, vines, and ancient villages.
This is the Tuscany of Chianti and Val d'Orcia, of good food and unmistakable flavors.
"A masterpiece of human creative genius, it bears the unique testimony of a civilization of the past and the exceptional example of an architectural and landscape complex, the testimony of important stages in human history." With this motivation, Unesco, in 1990, registered San Gimignano on the World Heritage list.
