Pools of Venus (Ogliastra) - Baunei (NU) - Gulf of Orosei - Sardinia

During the excursion along the splendid Cale del Golfo di Orosei, you will come across a corner of paradise characterized by the clarity and colors of its waters, which invite you to dive.

After the entrance to the Grotta del Fico, near the wild Cala Biriola, the Piscine di Venere shine.

This is one of the most spectacular stretches of the coast

of Baunei, in Ogliastra, reachable by sea from the ports of Santa Maria Navarrese or Cala Gonone.

The transparency and bright colors are due to the numerous freshwater resurgences that flow into the overlooking cliff and the limestone rocks that dot its predominantly sandy bottom.

The stretch of sea borders a cove of sand mixed with pebbles - just 50 m long - bordered by imposing 200 m high limestone cliffs, bordered by Mediterranean scrub.

"Piscine di Venere" is a denomination derived from the splendor of the body of water.
