Poggio Covili - Castiglione d'Orcia (SI) - Val d'Orcia - UNESCO World Heritage - Tuscany

Poggio Covili is a farmhouse on a hill in Castiglione d'Orcia, in the heart of the Val d'Orcia. The latter, crossed by the river of the same name, is a territory formed by sinuous hills, mainly cultivated with cereals.

The hills of this beautiful area declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, change color as the seasons change.

Poggio Covili derives from the ancient tavern, which was once frequented by those who passed on the Via Francigena, on foot or by carriage.

The farmhouse was bought, in the 70s, by the Pasquini family, who renovated it with extreme care and attention.

To get to the farmhouse, you must take the gravel road, flanked on both sides by cypresses, which cut the majestic wheat fields in two.

Today, Poggio Covili, surrounded by a breathtaking panorama, has become a destination for all those who visit Tuscany, but above all, for photographers ready to contemplate it for hours, waiting for the right lights to take the best photos.
