Peccioli has agricultural roots still reflected in the territory today, with wineries, oil mills, farms, and agritourism establishments.
In addition to its charming medieval center, Peccioli includes small historic villages such as Cedri, Ghizzano, Fabbrica, Montecchio, Libbiano, and Legoli.

Palazzo Senza Tempo
The history of Peccioli dates back to the 15th century when the farm and the Palazzo di Via Carraia were founded and owned by the Florentine Salviati family. In the 16th century, the farm passed to Piero Salviati, uncle of Cosimo I de' Medici.
The Salviati family were bankers and merchants who specialized in silk and wool, with interests that extended to Constantinople, London, and Bruges.
After Piero's death, the palace passed to the Almeni family from Perugia, probably as a sign of gratitude from Cosimo I de' Medici for their loyalty. The last heirs of the family were Isabella Nerli and Eleonora Bonaccorsi, who donated the property to Pietro Leopoldo, Grand Duke of Tuscany, and later to the Royal Treasury, which sold it to the Berte family.
In 1919, the palace and the farm were sold to the company Fondi Rustici di Roma, which became part of the heritage of the Gerolamo Gaslini Foundation.
Recently, in 2004, a part of the estate was purchased by the Municipality of Peccioli, which in 2019 started a critical renovation and redevelopment project.
The Palazzo is characterized by a magnificent panoramic terrace that offers a breathtaking view of the valley. Inside the palace, there is also a newspaper library and a café.
