Pastrengo, an enchanting Veronese village, was elevated to the title of city in 2011, thus recognizing its historical and cultural importance. This place fascinates visitors with its beauty and heritage.


Located a few kilometers from Lake Garda, Pastrengo is the perfect destination for those who want to spend a relaxing day immersed in nature and history. Its historical paths allow visitors to walk among ancient walls and monuments, reliving the events that have characterized this village over the centuries.

Along the way, you can discover numerous historical points of interest and admire breathtaking views. The Fortino Belvedere, commemorating the Carabinieri Charge of 30 April 1848, is worth visiting. The Parish Church, dating back to 1700, offers a panoramic view of Fort Benedek, one of the four Austrian forts that bear witness to the Risorgimento past of the place.

The Optical Telegraph, built by the Austrians in 1865, is a place worth a visit and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding hills. You can continue towards Fort Nugent from here, enjoying an even broader view.


Returning to Pastrengo along a path among the olive groves, you arrive at Borgo San Zeno, which houses an ancient dovecote tower dating back to the late Middle Ages.

This tower represents an important historical and architectural element of the area. A little further on is Villa Randina, an imposing residence dating back to the 13th-14th century.


The Parco Natura Viva is another unmissable attraction in Pastrengo. This large zoo and safari park is home to a wide range of animals worldwide, allowing visitors to get up close to fascinating creatures such as lions, tigers, giraffes, and elephants.
