The fortress, an example of medieval military architecture, stands majestically on a spur of red jasper. Inside there is the Museum of Valligiana Civilization and the Museum of Poaching and Traps, where temporary exhibitions of different types are housed ... #tuttitaly
The Museum of Fauna and Poaching is located in the majestic Castle of Bardi, more precisely, within the rooms of the ancient granary overlooking the courtyard of the well.
The rooms host a vast exhibition collection on the faunal world of Val Ceno and offer the possibility of discovering what lies behind the poaching phenomenon.
The Museum is divided into three sections:
- introduction to the subject of poaching (history, legislation, techniques, and practices);
- a section dedicated to the C.I.T.E.S (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), which regulates the trade and possession of rare or endangered species.
- a section relating to the fauna of Val Ceno, with stuffed animals displayed in display cases for educational purposes.
