Mirabello, hamlet of Terre del Reno (FE) - Emilia Romagna

Mirabello is a fraction of Terre del Reno in the province of Ferrara, 56 km from Bologna Guglielmo Marconi, the nearest airport.

According to tradition, the town's name would have been born from the exclamation "Look how beautiful it is," Countess Matilde di Canossa uttered.

What to visit

Between 1929 and 1943, the Church of San Paolo was built in Tuscan style. The bell tower, inaugurated in 1905, 56 m high, is embellished by a swollen pavilion dome reminiscent of the Mole Antonelliana in Turin.

The church suffered severe damage following the 2012 earthquake.

At the edge of the town, preceded by a long avenue of oaks,

stands the Palazzo Sessa-Aldrovandi. Initially the country residence of Pompeo Aldrovandi, the building is now the seat of the "Rodolfo and Luigi Sessa" Museum of Rural Life.

The museum is dedicated to presenting the history of the Upper Ferrara area and preserving its people's culture and material civilization.
