Jewel of the province of Salerno, in 1997, Minori, together with the other towns of the Amalfi Coast, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.


City of Taste

Minori is a popular tourist destination known as the "City of Taste" for its renowned culinary tradition. The city boasts the preservation of the oldest pasta dish, ndunderi.

The lemon is the symbolic fruit of Minori agriculture, and the lemon delicacies have made Minori famous all over the world.

Tourist attractions

In the 7th century, the relics of Santa Trofimena were found, to whom the Cathedral was dedicated, around which the urban area of ​​Minori was built.


At the end of the 16th century, the Coastal Tower called Torre del Paradiso was built to defend against the assaults of Saracen pirates. The tower, of the square canonical type, is incorporated in a characteristic complex of houses.

To recall the city's past, the splendid Roman Villa Marittima from the 1st century AD, a rare example of a villa by the sea, is considered one of the most important Roman monuments on the Amalfi Coast. It probably belonged to a wealthy character of the imperial court.
