The stone houses built overhanging the gorges of the Ciuffenna River... #tuttitaly
Loro Ciuffenna differs from other villages in its structure. Its houses overlooking the river offer us a rather particular landscape. And what attracts my attention the most are the well-kept and beautiful terraces to look at, but their location so close to the river is a bit shivering. There is no shortage of colors; everything turns warm, green, and flowery.
The stone serves to support this landscape that recalls antiquity.
The medieval style fully characterizes the village, and the various details recall it.
We stopped for lunch at a restaurant and were impressed by the vintage style. The typical dishes of the home did not disappoint our expectations. It looked more like a lovely apartment made available to the various visitors.
And if you looked out the window, you would find a breathtaking view that included the stone village surrounded by the green forest.
During the walk along the river, we also noticed some small works of art: a small fountain that, as a tap, featured the head of a lion, a small cross placed on a monument, and a little Madonna. She looked more like a siren and turned clockwise.
A village that remains in the heart of those who visit it.
