Lido di Spina, one of the seven beaches of Comacchio, is a seaside resort in the province of Ferrara, characterized by tourism for young people.
The lido boasts one of the longest beaches on the Riviera, with fine beige sand; its streets frame low and refined villas, many of which were built by famous architects.
In 1971 the Italian painter Remo Brindisi had his
residence built on the Lido di Spina by the architect designer Nanda Vigo in the Bauhaus style. The place used as a museum was donated to the Municipality of Comacchio after his death. The museum contains a rich collection of contemporary art and interesting kinetic sculptures.
Thanks to the many trendy clubs on the Riviera, Lido di Spina is one of the main tourist attractions on the Emilian coast.
On the table
The typical specialty of the area is undoubtedly eel, cooked in a thousand ways and always delicious.
