Cordignano (TV) - Veneto

Cordignano rises in the Veneto region, on the border with Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The territory is characterized by the river Meschio, which passes through the center of the town at Piazza Italia.

Among the religious buildings of Cordignano, the archpriest church of Saints Maria Assunta and Cassiano del Meschio was erected in the 17th century on the foundations of ancient pre-existing buildings dating back to Roman times and the Middle Ages. On the left side, the twentieth-century bell tower is noteworthy.

On 29 June, the Festival of Saints Peter and Paul takes place, dating back to 1628. The celebrations occur in the large Piazza Italia and via Roma and Vittorio Veneto. On this occasion, you can buy farmyard animals, fattening pigs, straw hats, and garden tools. A prosperous market and various food and wine stand, art exhibitions, entertainment, and shows are set up.
