Pearl of Ogliastra, one of the world's most beautiful beaches, where only 250 people can find space. The seabed is of surreal transparency, the turquoise waters flow from submarine karst springs, and marble rocks emerge from the sea... #UNESCO #tuttitaly
One of the most suggestive beaches in Sardinia, Cala Goloritzé, was born from a landslide in 1962. This is the most photographed beach in Ogliastra, a national monument protected since 1995.
Starting from the parking lot of su Porteddu on the Golgo plateau, walking for 3.5 km in the Supramonte di Baunei, you reach an uncontaminated oasis:
a myriad of white and smooth pebbles that slope down into a sea of surreal transparency, whose waters turquoise waters gush from underwater karst springs.
To the south, the bay is bordered by a stone arch that plunges into the sea.
In a crevice between the rocks, inside the beach, there is a freshwater spring flowing from the subsoil into the sea.
The symbol of the beach is the 143 m high pinnacle, coveted by climbers for its sport climbing routes, the most famous of which is the "windmill symphony." All around, imposing 500 m high cliffs are covered with Mediterranean scrub that perfumes the air.
The wild Cala Goloritzé is the pearl of the Mediterranean, where sea and mountain meet and create a paradisiacal landscape.
