A hidden pearl ... its peculiarity is precise that it consists of several coves, all excellent and postcard-worthy, where the colors of the sea, rocks, sand, and vegetation create a perfect combination, giving life to a splendid landscape... #tuttitaly
Cala Girgolu is the site of the famous granite conformation known as the Gallo di Gallura and of the Tartaruga, which gives its name to the beach on which it is located. These two zoomorphic rocks owe their creation to the erosive action of water and wind.
Approaching the beach, one is struck by an imposing view:
a continuous succession of white coves and pink granite cliffs modeled in unique shapes, the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, and the brilliant turquoise of the transparent waters in front of the frame of the towering island of Tavolara.
Thanks to its shallow and sandy bottom, Cala Girgolu is also a beach suitable for children.
It is also an equipped beach, which offers paid parking, a refreshment point, an umbrella rental, facilities for people with disabilities, rubber dinghies, pedal boats, and canoes.
To get to Turtle Beach, however, you must walk about 20 minutes immersed in the vegetation.
The beach, despite being very small, is charming.
In the Mediterranean scrub of Cala Girgolu, exclusive residences in the Mediterranean style were also built in not very recent times.
