Busto Arsizio (VA) - Lombardy

Busto Arsizio is a city in Lombardy, an industrial and commercial center of great importance located in a densely urbanized context.

Inhabited in Roman times, it boasted an important textile activity in the Middle Ages that lasted centuries.

In the center's streets, you can see historic buildings, palaces, and churches. Among these is the Church of San Michele, whose bell tower, dating back to the 9th and 10th centuries, is the oldest building in the city; the seventeenth-century Basilica of San Giovanni Battista and the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Piazza.

The Textile and Industrial Tradition Museum is worth a visit, where you can observe objects, machines, and documents relating to the textile industry and other sectors of the local industrial tradition.
