Antermoia Pass - San Giovanni di Fassa (Pozza di Fassa and Vigo di Fassa - TN) - Val di Fassa - Trentino-Alto Adige

A path with a lunar landscape, the Antermoia pass is part of the Catinaccio Group in the Dolomites. Being 2770 meters above sea level, it is the highest pass of its mountain range and is crossed by an Italian Alpine Club-approved path. It is a link between the Val di Vajolet and the Valon di Antermoia in the largest hydrographic basin of the Trentino Val di Fassa.

The Antermoia pass has a typical Dolomite structure. It is located immediately below the imposing massif of the Catinaccio d'Antermoia (3002 m high), just a few hundred meters north. To the south, on the other hand, various ridges follow one another on the hill, which culminates with the 2,887 meters of the Scalieret peak. On both sides of the ascent to the pass, the bottom of the path is made up of small and medium-sized stones, often covered by layers of snow even in summer. The slope is more significant in the west than in the East.
