Victory Lighthouse - Turin (TO) - Piedmont

Senator Giovanni Agnelli donated the city to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Italy's victory in the Great War a monument. Thus, in 1928, on the top of the Parco della Rimembranza, the Victory Lighthouse was placed: a winged woman, with her hands raised to support a torch, which represents victory; at night, the light from the lighthouse is visible from all over the city and its surroundings.

The Faro della Vittoria, made entirely of bronze by the sculptor Edoardo Rubino, weighs 25 tons, is 18.50 m high, and rests on a stone base of a further 8 m in height.

Near the statue is an orientation table in granite with an upper plate of brass, indicating the wind rose and the direction of the prominent Alpine peaks.
