Tozzoni Park - Imola (BO) - Emilia Romagna

Parco Tozzoni is an oasis of peace built towards the end of the 19th century close to the Pedagna district in Imola. It was designed by Francesco Tozzoni to furnish a villa that was not subsequently built.

In the park, strips of natural forest and densely tree-lined strips full of evergreens follow one another, which delimit, in a continuous alternation of open and closed views, large grassy clearings enriched by large isolated trees and, in the south-eastern part, by a young planting of olive trees.

The western part of the park hosts a strip of oak forest with some majestic specimens of downy oak.

The area is characterized by intense use, thanks to a rich network of dirt paths and a kiosk.

In 1975, the park was sold to the municipality of Imola, and after some interventions to adapt it to its new function, it was inaugurated in 1978.
