The 66km long stream of the Province of Bologna... #tuttitaly
The Sillaro is a stream in the province of Bologna, a tributary of Reno, 66 km long and with an average flow rate of 4 m3 / s. It originates from the slopes of Monte Canda, in Tuscany, near the characteristic rock formation of the Sasso di San Zanobi.
After a few kilometers, it enters Emilia-Romagna crossing a valley characterized by badlands. It bathes Castel San Pietro Terme, then Sesto Imolese until it feeds the Cassa di Colmata di Valle Santa in Campotto and flows into the Reno practically together with the Indice stream at La Bastia, between Lavezzola and San Biagio di Argenta.
The photos in the post were taken near Monterenzio along the SP21 road, creating delightful water terraces where you can cool off, get your feet wet, and enjoy the unspoiled nature.
In summer, with the stream almost dried up, it becomes a beautiful experience to walk inside the stream among the vegetation, the reflections of the water, and the characteristic river pebbles.
