Created with love and dedication by the volunteers of the group "Amici del Presepe," the Presepe del Put del Re represents the typical activities of the Val Camonica, with detailed figurines depicting bakers at work, farmers carrying hay with a "gerla" (a traditional basket), and alpine herdsmen. In addition, it is possible to admire a historic mill that adds a touch of authenticity to this extraordinary work.

Its authenticity and ability to engage visitors make the Presepe del Put del Re a symbol of Sellero and the valley's traditions. Every year, hundreds of people are fascinated by this unique representation, which conveys the authenticity and beauty of the local culture.

Church

The majestic Church of Santa Maria Assunta, built in 1785, has great historical and artistic importance.

The architecture, similar to that of the church of Pisogne, is the work of architect Simone Spandri, originally from that town. The church stands out for its entrance portal, made in 1844 with precious marble from Vezza d'Oglio, which gives the building an elegant and refined appearance. The altar, dating back to 1757 and coming from the old parish church of San Desiderio, is made of marble from Sicily and Verona, adding an element of great historical value to the Church.

The Church of Santa Maria Assunta represents an essential place of worship for the local community and enhances the artistic and historical heritage of the area.

Conclusion

Sellero stands out for its ability to offer unique and engaging experiences.

The Presepe del Put del Re and the Church of Santa Maria Assunta are two places that enchant visitors, conveying the authenticity, beauty, and history of this fascinating Lombard destination.
