The Piane di Mocogno, located in the hamlet of Lama Mocogno in the province of Modena, is a ski resort that was established in the 1920s. Its first ski race was held in 1924. Initially, the resort only had an inn and barracks, and during the winter, it was only accessible by horse-drawn sleds starting from the La Santona area.
The Piane di Mocogno are famous for cross-country skiing, thanks to their flat terrain. During the winter, in addition to the ski slopes and snowshoe excursions, it is possible to practice downhill skiing with bobsleds and sleds, which is very popular among children of all ages. Furthermore, there is also a baby park with inflatable games.
During the summer, the Piane di Mocogno transforms into an oasis of relaxation and fun for families.
