The suggestive historic center linked to the Rocca is of medieval origin and is rooted in even more ancient times.

Events
Passignano is famous for the Palio delle Barche, an event that recalls the battle of 1495 when the Oddi troops had to flee from the castle carrying the boats on their shoulders.
For the Palio, which takes place on the last Sunday in July, the four districts of the town (Centro Storico, Centro Nuovo, Oliveto, San Donato) face off in a competition divided into three parts...
The race starts on the lake to arrive first at the pier there, the race begins, boats on their shoulders, along the stairways and narrow alleys of the historic center, up to the dock, where they retake the lake road to finish the race.
Various shows enrich the event.
Gastronomy
A typical preparation of the Trasimeno Lake is the Brustico, a fish dish that can be prepared with natural perch or tench.
