In 1830, Dr. Gioacchino Cerchiari discovered the healing springs of sulfurous waters southwest of Imola. This discovery popularized the site, which, in 1871, was transformed into the Parco delle Acque Minerali.
The Parco delle Acque Minerali, surrounded by the Enzo
and Dino Ferrari International Circuit, extends for 11 hectares and is characterized by a rich tree composition of native and exotic species.
Following the redevelopment works completed in 2000, the park has two play areas for children, a guided geological educational path, a pond with splendid aquatic birds, and a fountain that marks the North entrance.
Monument to Ayrton Senna
Since 26 April 1997, in the Parco delle Acque Minerali, we
have found the Monument to Ayrton Senna dedicated to the great Brazilian driver who lost his life in the fateful Tamburello curve in 1994.
