Molino del Pallone, hamlet of Alto Reno Terme (BO) - Emilia Romagna

On the left bank of the Reno River stands Molino del Pallone, a favorite holiday resort for many citizens of Emilia and Tuscany.

The pure air of the green mountains surrounding it and the Reno River make the small center a destination for excursionists and lovers of sport fishing.

Thanks to its proximity to the source and the naturalistic context in which it is immersed, the river has crystal clear waters populated by numerous fish species.

In 2007 a river park was inaugurated in Reno, equipped with deck chairs, umbrellas, a picnic area, and all the necessary services to spend a pleasant day of relaxation and fun, thanks to the spaces dedicated to sports and games for children.

Origins of the name

The name "Molino del Pallone" derives from "Molino di Ballone," an old mill with millstones operated by the water of the river, which transformed the dried chestnuts into sweet flour, the leading food of the mountain people.
