The Hermitage of San Viviano is a fascinating place under a majestic rock face overlooking the Arnetola valley. This ancient building is located at approximately 1090 meters, leaning against the front of the mountain. Its construction is characterized by a perimeter wall made of local stone and lime, while the roof comprises sturdy chestnut beams inserted into the rock and onto the wall.

Behind the small altar, you exit outdoors onto a panoramic terrace protected by a wall. On this ledge, San Viviano retreated to pray, and it was here that he was found dead on May 22nd.
