The Parco dei Giardini in Via dell'Arcoveggio was born from the initiative of the Bolognese citizens to transform what was once an abandoned quarry, built by the ex-Gallotti furnace for the extraction of the clay necessary for the packaging of terracotta bricks, into a green space. The project managed to enhance the area of the Navile District further.
The Ca' Bura Onlus Volunteer Association manages the park. The volunteers' care dedicated to the park for more than twenty years allows the inhabitants to have a space where they can spend their free time in peace and tranquillity.
The protagonists of the park are the black swans, turtles, ducks, and other aquatic animals that have made the Corticella Lake a natural attraction, and that
we can observe it better from the suggestive wooden gazebo that sinks the pylons into the lake's waters.
The Parco dei Giardini in Via dell'Arcoveggio attracts thousands of people every weekend who use the spaces dedicated to walks, sports, and games.
