At the foot of Monte Bisbino stands Cernobbio, a tourist resort renowned for centuries among wealthy families from Como and Milan who chose to build their villas and gardens here.

Today Cernobbio offers tourists an efficient accommodation organization and a beautiful lakefront. In the oldest part of the village, you can visit the primitive parish church dedicated to San Vincenzo.

The most prestigious building in Cernobbio is Villa d'Este, today transformed into the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este. The structure was erected in 1589 for Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio and was called Villa del Gàrrovo from the stream that flows into the lake here.

In 1814, the complex was purchased by the Princess of Wales, a descendant of the illustrious d'Este family, who renamed the villa with its current name.

Various paths start from the village, including the path that leads to the top of Monte Bisbino, where a 16th-century sanctuary stands.
