Castelnovo ne’ Monti (RE) - Emilia Romagna

The fascinating village of Castelnovo ne 'Monti is full of shops, clubs, and many beautiful people. I shot it with my son Kevin, looking for the "wizards" hidden around the country.

The town is of medieval origin, and the castle stood on the mountain that overlooks it, of which today only the remains of this ancient construction can be seen.

The village takes its name from the castle on Monte Castello. Many towns and hamlets can be visited, all immersed in a truly extraordinary landscape.

The culinary tradition is of great importance: from Parmigiano Reggiano to porcini mushrooms, from potato

Tortelli to cappelletti; cured meats, cheeses, and the inevitable Erbazzone; a typical Reggio gastronomic specialty, in practice, it is a savory pie made up of a base of pasta (called Foieda), filled for two centimeters with a mixture of boiled and flavored chard (sometimes combined with cooked spinach).

Castel ne 'Monti is also famous for the Pietra di Bismantova, a tourist attraction that annually attracts thousands of tourists, scholars, and sportsmen worldwide.
