One of the most beautiful villages in Italy and its Love Knot... #tuttitaly
On the border between Lombardy and Veneto, 145 km from Milan, located on the Mincio River between Mantua and Verona, there is a delightful and enchanting village, one of the most beautiful in Italy. The town is called Borghetto Sul Mincio and is a small but precious fraction of Valeggio Sul Mincio in the province of Verona, 14 Km. From the famous Peschiera del Garda.
Borghetto Sul Mincio is an ancient village of mills: an enchanted place in the middle of woods and countryside with living evidence of its past.
Imagine a magical place, rich in history, where tranquility and the most "irritating" noise reign you can hear is the ducks squawking. Imagine an ancient village of mills built on the banks of a river, with lots of colorful flowers and a heady scent that spreads around you, and as in all
enchanted places, a cool grove that surrounds the village cannot be missing. Now that you have finished imagining, take the car, bicycle, train, or vehicle you prefer, and visit Borghetto Sul Mincio; it will be one of the most beautiful experiences.
A curiosity:
Every June, the Feast of the Knot of Love takes place on the Visconti Bridge: a dinner dedicated to the tortellini of Valeggio Sul Mincio called, according to an ancient
legend, the Knot of Love because they are born precisely from a pledge of Love. Tortellini is served to over 4,000 diners. You will see a beautiful medieval costume parade and fireworks display during the festival.
Take the opportunity also to visit Sigurtà Park. A few kilometers away, you can see one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. A truly enchanting place that you will not be able to forget.
