While we were headed by car towards Pienza, here on our left, we noticed an immense wheat field that invited us to take a short stop;)
We are located 3 km from Pienza, in the Val d'Orcia, recognized in 2004 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. What caught our attention was a gold-colored hill, on the top of which is a splendid villa called Biancacamicia.
We probably arrive at the villa by continuing on the minor road, on which we stop to take a thousand photos, which perhaps will not be able to do justice to the landscape surrounding us.
We are located in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, one of the most beautiful landscape areas, characterized by delightful medieval villages, stone farmhouses, rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, cypresses, and sheep pastures.
The scent of wheat, its golden color similar to that of the sun, and the silence and peace all around us conquered us. But since we are not the only ones enchanted by this place, we must also give space to other visitors and continue on our way straight toward Pienza!
