Assergi - Fraction of the city of L'Aquila (AQ) - Abruzzo

At the foot of the Gran Sasso massif, in the narrow Rejale valley at an altitude of 895 meters, stands Assergi.

A few kilometers from Campo Imperatore, the pretty village is surrounded by suggestive naturalistic elements.

During summer, tourists can take long walks in unspoiled nature or go skiing in winter.

This makes the village an ideal destination for lovers of nature, wellness, and relaxation.

You can also visit the medieval village on foot. It is surrounded by a series of walls dating back to the 11th century. The Santa Maria Assunta church and the Santa Maria Convent in Valle are also worth visiting.

The village center is home to several shops of high-quality typical Abruzzo products and objects related to local crafts.

The restaurants offer genuine local cuisine and high quality.

Very characteristic is also the village of San Pietro alla Jenca, which is located near Assergi.
